Editorial standards

Editorial Policy

The standards that guide how MyCoverScope develops and maintains its educational content.

Last updated

Useful information comes first

MyCoverScope selects topics because they can help readers understand insurance, not simply because a phrase may attract search traffic. Search can help people find useful work, but it does not determine an article’s conclusions.

Scope, sources, and dates

Articles should make their scope clear. Global guides explain general concepts; jurisdiction-specific guides should identify the relevant country and avoid implying that local rules apply everywhere. Content is researched with appropriate primary and authoritative sources where available, and material claims should be dated or updated when timing matters.

Updates and responsibility

Insurance rules, products, and market practices change. MyCoverScope may revise content when a material fact changes, better information becomes available, or an error is identified. Human editorial responsibility remains with MyCoverScope; tools may support research or production but do not replace editorial judgment.

Commercial relationships

Commercial considerations should not determine an editorial conclusion. Any future advertising, sponsorship, or affiliate relationship will be clearly distinguished from editorial content and handled under the Advertising Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.
